Dr Carolyn M. Selavka BS, MS, VMD
Dr. Carolyn Selavka is a veterinarian with a career rooted in emergency and critical care medicine—and a particular appreciation for the remarkable partnership between people and animals. She earned her BS from Northeastern University, her MS from the University of Hawai‘i, and her VMD from the University of Pennsylvania, followed by internship and residency training in Emergency and Critical Care.
After years as an attending clinician at large referral and teaching hospitals, Dr. Selavka opened Baystate Mobile Veterinary Services in Charlton, Massachusetts, in 2007. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for Massachusetts Vest-A-Dog and provides veterinary care for state and local working canine officers. She has a particular appreciation for animals who show up every day, do difficult jobs without complaint, and occasionally make their own decisions about who is actually in charge
Dr. Selavka is excited to serve on the Board and support an organization dedicated to veterans and the animals who make an extraordinary difference in their lives. She brings her clinical experience, advocacy for working animals, and deep respect for the human-animal bond to the mission.
